Turning On the Player

Once you've uploaded and assigned a track, you need to turn on the player in your theme so customers actually see it.

How it works

Listen Now! adds an app block to your Shopify theme — no code editing needed. There are two kinds of blocks:

• Audio Player — plays an uploaded audio file. Works on Site Wide (every page, floating in the corner), Blog Article, and Page templates.
• Text-to-Speech — reads content out loud. Works on Product and Blog Article templates.

Turning it on

1. Go to Settings in Listen Now! and click Enable on the widget you want.
2. This opens Shopify's Theme Editor to the right template automatically.
3. Drag the block into place, position it where you'd like, and adjust the look (colors, size) to match your theme.
4. Save.

Good to know

• Your theme needs to support Shopify's modern app-block system (Online Store 2.0). Most current themes do. If yours doesn't, the block won't show up as an option in the Theme Editor, and there's currently no manual/code-based workaround.
• The player only appears once a track is actually assigned to that spot — adding the empty block won't show anything on its own.
